John Morrison Leaving WWE?, Hogan & Bischoff’s Contracts

WWE

– Updating a previous item, RAW superstar John Morrison’s contract is set to expire soon–believed to be in the coming weeks–and that he has no interest in re-signing with WWE. Morrison has been losing more matches than usual of late, which could be a way for WWE to put over other talent while they phase him off TV.

– According to F4WO, Mike Knox has completely moved on from the wrestling business following his release from WWE last year. Friends of the 33-year-old say he became depressed over being let go by WWE and won’t accept requests for independent dates or even conventions.

TNA

– According to the PWInsider, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff’s newly signed contracts with TNA Wrestling are reported being two-year deals through 2014. Hogan will also be on ESPN.com’s SportsNation at 1pm ET to promote Bound for Glory, as he continues his media tours prior to his No-DQ return match against Sting.

NFL

– The Texans have acquired WR Derrick Mason from the Jets for a conditional draft pick. Mason played just five snaps in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots after making comments regarding the team’s offence last week. To make matters worse, he only had one catch for seven yards–this season, he has just 13 catches for 115 yards, putting him on pace for only 41.6 receptions and 368 yards. Entering this season, Mason had posted at least 750 receiving yards every season since 2000. He should get a chance in Houston, at least in the short term, while WR Andre Johnson (hamstring) is sidelined for the next two weeks. Despite Houston’s passing game being far better than the Jets, he still likely won’t see a boost in production.
