– According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has signed a talent contract with WWE from January 1, 2010 to April 10, 2010.

Early indications point to The Hitman making an appearance on the January 4 edition of Raw, which is coincidentally (or not) when TNA Wrestling’s first 3-hour Monday night show goes head-to-head with WWE Raw. This also means that the contract ends at WrestleMania 26, which could be a hint that Bret Hart has agreed to do an angle at ‘Mania, possibly involving Vince McMahon, or (although unlikely), possibly an angle involving Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker based off of Survivor Series 1997 with Hart screwing HBK out of what could be a match that ends ‘Taker’s ‘Mania unbeaten streak – but that is purely speculation. Also, a second DVD – expected to be Hart Foundation material – is part of the deal.

There’s no confirmation that he will host the January 4th edition of Raw, but that’s what the speculation is. The idea would be that some sort of angle would start on that show with him hosting leading to a Bret/Vince confrontation of some kind at WM26. It could also be some kind of multi person tag with the Hart Dynasty if Bret doesn’t want to wrestle singles. We’ll probably learn more about that in the future. See More
